The organizing committee of the Venice 2025 Architecture Biennale – Time Space Existence later made a special visit to China to formally invite ZZHK Architects to participate in the exhibition.

Zhang Ke is a senior architect based in China and the founder of ZZHK Architects, an architectural practice recognized for its culturally driven and experience-oriented design approach. With extensive professional experience in both state-owned and private design institutions, he has served as Chief Architect, General Manager, and Deputy General Manager prior to establishing ZZHK Architects in 2014. In 2017, he was named one of China’s Most Influential Young Architects.
Zhang Ke’s work focuses on iconic architectural form, high-quality residential innovation, and the integration of architecture with landscape, culture, and public life. His design philosophy emphasizes architecture as a medium for perception, movement, and cultural expression rather than as a purely formal object.
His projects have received wide international recognition. Zhang Ke’s works have been awarded the International Architecture Awards (IAA)—one of the world’s longest-running and most respected architectural award programs—and the Architecture MasterPrize (AMP), ranked among the leading global architectural honors. His project G Clef Bridge was selected as a Global Candidate Project in the 16th Cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, an award widely regarded alongside the Pritzker Prize for its emphasis on cultural, social, and environmental values.
